Policies and How We Work
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Real Artist Guild is being built for people who create in many different ways. We want people to understand what the Guild offers, how an application would be reviewed, what the card means, and how information is handled before making a decision.
Paid applications are not open. The founding-interest list is free and does not submit an application or promise membership. Application terms will be shown before any payment is taken.
Our policies
- Frequently Asked Questions explains the interest list, planned pilot, fee, card, and review.
- Application and Membership Terms describes who may apply, what the pilot includes, how review works, refunds, and appeals.
- Privacy Notice explains information currently collected and how future application records will be handled before they are collected.
- Community Standards and Appeals sets expectations for Guild-run spaces and a fair way to raise concerns.
- Accessibility and Contact describes current access features and how to ask for help, an alternative, or a privacy response.
- Website Terms of Use covers the public website and free interest list.
When something does not match
We date policy changes and aim to explain them in plain language. Before applications open, the application page will repeat the current fee, membership, refund, evidence, and privacy terms. If a page and an application screen differ, pause before submitting payment and ask us to resolve the difference.
Our Privacy Notice describes what the current interest list collects, the retention settings visible in WordPress, and the service details still being verified. We will update it before applications open and whenever our practices materially change. Paid applications remain closed until the application service, privacy safeguards, and support are ready.
